Meet the New and Improved Landroid™ Robotic Mower

By Kim Toscano

Mow the lawn while you play a round of golf or hit the beach with the new Landroid™ M robotic mower. Programmable from anywhere using your smartphone, the new Landroid M combines the latest technology with the best in lawn care so you can spend more time with friends and family and less time on yard work.

Landroid M has so many advanced features it’s hard to know where to begin. From enhanced cutting performance to ease of programming, from antitheft technology to improved safety measures – the Landroid™ is one smart lawn mower.

Smart Technology

Early reviews emphasize how easy the Landroid M is to program through the LCD screen display. Simple and intuitive, the interface allows users to customize mowing schedules and establish multiple cutting zones. This multi-zone programming allows homeowners to set up separate schedules for areas with different maintenance needs, such as front and back yards or high-use areas. The Landroid M is also ready to go right out of the box with preprogrammed settings.

With the Landroid M smart phone app and Wi-Fi, users can control and program the mobile mower from anywhere. One of the app’s features is the lawn size calculator. By walking the lawn’s perimeter with the app, it automatically calculates its size. Then, the app automatically configures a working schedule for the mower based on the size of the lawn.

The optional GPS technology also serves as a location and anti-theft device that can track the robot grass mower location and send it to the homeowner’s phone via a 4G network. Homeowners can also set a security pin number to lock out Landroid’s operation.

The mower’s patented AIA cutting technology allows the Landroid to better navigate through narrow passageways compared to other robotic mowers. Optional digital fencing provides a simplified wiring process for establishing boundaries around obstacles and complex lawns and landscapes.

Performance

Landroid M can mow lawns up to one-quarter acre in size. Innovative electronics allow the mower to tackle slopes, hills, and berms up to 20-degrees (35% slope) without tipping. And the new “Cut to Edge” design incorporates three offset blades for closer edge cutting, minimizes the need for trimming.

Cutting both forward and backward in a randomized pattern, the Landroid removes a small amount of leaf tissue with each pass. Grass trimmings are left in place to replenish soil nutrients and promote a healthy lawn. All that productivity packed into a streamlined, compact mower – what will you do with your extra time?

Safety

Robotic lawn mowers are designed to operate unsupervised and include a number of safety features to prevent accidents. Built-in sensors stop the mower blades from rotating when the machine is lifted or tipped. Landroid M also automatically reverses when it makes contact with a person, pet, or object.

An optional accessory expands the Landroid’s ability to avoid objects. The Anti-Collision System uses an ultrasonic sensor enabling the Landroid to detect objects in its path and reverse course before making contact.

Design features include a rain sensor which instructs the mower to return to the docking station when it’s raining. Owners can program the mower to resume cutting once the rain has stopped or after the grass has time to dry. The mower also returns to the docking station to recharge its battery or when mowing has been completed, so you don’t have to worry about keeping batteries charged.
