Woodworker’s Journal Features the WORX Brushless Drill & Driver

Woodworker’s Journal featured the WORX 20V Power Share Brushless Drill & Driver in its April 2019 issue.

From Woodworker’s Journal:

The new WORX 20V Brushless Drill & Driver has smart chip software control that improves motor efficiency by matching power usage to the resistance of the material being drilled or fastened. It also conserves battery power, reduces noise and extends motor life by reducing friction. The drill/driver also features Pulse-assist: it’s a slow, controlled rotation with intermittent thrusts to help loosen stubborn screws, prevent stripping of screw heads and keep drill bit tips from “walking” on hard surfaces.

Pulse-assist is controlled through an On/Off switch at the base of the handle. The tool has a drilling capacity of 1 3/4″ in wood and 1/2″ in steel and maximum torque of 354 inch/pounds with a 15+1 position clutch. No-load speeds are 0 to 430 and 0 to 1,600 rpm. Weighing 2.9 pounds (with battery), the WORX 20V Brushless Drill & Driver (WX174L) includes a battery and charger and is priced at $99.99
