Michael Haun Joins Worx For Fun Facebook Live DIY!

Do It With Worx!

We here at Worx understand that the world is in a crazy time right now. The “Stay Home” order has people sitting tight, and coming up with fun things for the kids or even yourself to do can be a challenge, especially after 3-4 weeks. This is why we are launching our “Do It With Works” Facebook Live events!

The Power To Share

Creative artist Michael Haun has been collaborating with the Worx team for years, and he is now helping to share his talents with our Worx fans too. This week we wanted to do something fun for the kids to do with their parents helping along. Michael has so many crafty ideas up his sleeve, and for the first event the rubber band propeller boat was the perfect choice. Michael sketched out his idea and sent it over. We really liked it and decided to move forward!

Here are the “ingredients” needed for the project.

Scrap wood.
Soft wood would be good
Like pine shelving, or poplar, a scrape board.
8 to 12 inches long.
3 to 6 inches wide.

A piece of used wooden fencing.
Palet wood might wood but it is hard.
What about a cedar board like you cook salmon on.

A heavy paint stirring stick or an old yard stick.
some rubber bands

Some sort of saw..
Michael used the 20V Power Share Axis Cordless Reciprocating & Jig Saw.
but a small hand saw will work.

Sandpaper or even a small sander, we recommend the 20V Power Share Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool or the 20V Power Share Cordless Detail Sander

Some at paint ( acrylic ) if you have it or the left over paint your room
A sharpie and pencil.

The Big Facebook Live Event!

If you missed the Facebook Live event this time around it’s ok, we have it for you below, and it will be taking place every other Thursday at 11am ET on our Facebook page. The next project with Michael will be on April 30!
